Also under the former nightKAP umbrella, and now part of The Daley Kennedy, one of our strengths is in creating experiences - not events - for clients from the non-profit, entertainment, and corporate sectors. Our innovative, socially & cost-conscious executions have led us to produce these experiences for global brands, leading non-profits and innovative exhibitions around the country. Here's a glimpse of some of those projects:
Many Rivers to Cross was the "experience" of a lifetime for nightKAP. The festival was ideated by the iconic Harry Belafonte and Sankofa.org, the organization designed to carry on his legacy and helmed by his daughter, Gina Belafonte, and her co-director, Raoul Roach. nightKAP was brought on by Belafonte and Sankofa.org to activate the social justice aspects of the festival, work with the PR and marketing teams, help oversee sponsor activations and solicit opportunities, and ensure the work with the on-the-ground production teams was executed efficiently. We also created and produced the Many Rivers Town Hall in conjunction with and launching the festival.
We created a tasting event featuring award winning Manhattan restaurants, bakeries and caterers.
Michael Muller curated incredible artwork for the nightKAP production benefiting LIFT Communities Los Angeles - an amazing organization LIFTing families out of poverty. The expereince raised over $200,000 in its inaugural year, and familiarized an entire community with the vital work that LIFT does on a daily basis. Held at the gorgeous Quixote Studios, this perfect spot with even more perfect hosts featured artwork from Muller, Randall Slavin, Sheperd Fairey, Sage Vaughan and many more.
Year 2 of LIFT:Art saw Michael Muller overseeing curation of an incredible roster of artists from BUMBLEBEE LOVES YOU to Shepard Fairey, Sage Vaughan, and more. This year food was brought to the table in a big way with the addition of food trucks from Baby's Badass Burgers and Canter's, and our bar was sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka, Heritage Auctions Wine, and a host of other incredible beverage companies.
And Year 3 brought us to the gorgeous Neuehouse Hollywood in the iconic Studio A (home to the pilot of i Love Lucy and birthplace of CBS). This years event featured new activations for member engagement including a silent disco, and continued to entertain and raise funds for the wonderful work of LIFT.
We turned a gorgeous house in the hills into a vintage Hollywood-Hotel inspired Garden Party, complete with a live performance by LIF Board Member and Grammy nominee Ben Harper. Look for an exciting evolution to this gala in early 2015.
We worked with United for Equality in Sports & Entertainment (UESE) to throw their launch press and following fundraising event celebrating the days historic meeting at the United Nations on Global Equality in Sports. Attendees included human rights activists from around the world, sports starts Martina Navratilova, Jason Collins, and New York socialites passionate about making a difference in the world.
When Toyota Financial Services wanted to make an impact at the MODELS OF PRIDE event sponsored by USC and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, they called upon nightKAP entertainment for a creative activation. Year 1 included famed NYC DJ JonJon Battles, along with some palm trees, sno-cones, and gorgeous models courtesy of DT Model Management to entice potential new job candidates for TFS as well as to encourage car sales. Year 2 was a How-To-Day, featuring tips and tricks on everything from social media to landing a job with the right look. And year 3 was a celebration of the future, featuring the Marai Hydrogen Powered Vehicle and a Futuristic Twist on the previous activations. Each years' activation was packed for the entirety of the event, and sharing on social media was further amplified by the addition of a photo booth and #TFSMODELS
We produced the 2012 Version of OUT Magazines Annual celebration of the top 100 influencers in and of the LGBTQ community in New York's Meatpacking District.
Toyota Financial Services brought us on to produce the launch of their Diplomas to Degrees National Program. The event, held in Bowie MD, featured graffiti artists creating custom t-shirt designs, photo and video booth activations, the Bowie State Marching band kicking off a Flashmob with the help of featured speaker Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.
nightKAP entertainment got its start in 2011, producing one of the most entertaining experiences in Hollywood - The Hollywood Rush. We took 6 successful TV and FILM writers, paired them with successful TV and FILM directors, and gave them each a cast of 5-6 of the rising and top stars in (you guessed it) TV and FILM and gave them all 24 hours to create 6 plays to be performed before a live, judgmental audience of 1300 Angelenos. The result? A hysterical night of theatre featuring musicals about severed penis’, romantic comedies with zombies, and a fundraiser for the Baby Dragon Fund that brought in just shy of $100k in its inaugural year (not to mention coverage from most major Hollywood Entertainment News outlets and over 65k unique media impressions).
