From the Venice Beach to the slums of East LA, the poverty epidemic is perhaps most visible right in our own backyard. Hollywood is taking major steps to confront this, and we will follow the organization LIFT Los Angeles, who is working to LIFT Angeleno families out of poverty, for good. This series profiles one of the families benefiting from the work of LIFT; their Executive Director Michelle Rhone-Collins; and the LIFTopolis day where Hollywood execs, philanthropists and power-players get a chance to see jut how difficult navigating the existing system of aid really is.
